Meet the Artist
About Heather

Heather Sun is a Chinese-American artist born and raised in Maryland. From a young age, she displayed an affinity for art, and developed an interest in design in high school. After attending Howard Community College as a Rouse Scholar and earning an Associate’s Degree in graphic design, she pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication and Design from Stevenson University.

As a first-generation immigrant raised by educators and community leaders, Heather has always been a firm believer in people-centered design and passion-driven art, which led her to a career in non-profit and community-centric work. Since leaving Stevenson University, she has held positions at The National Aquarium in Baltimore, Adventure Theater MTC, and is currently a designer for CCI Health Services in Silver Spring, MD.

In addition to graphic design, Heather specializes in illustration and engages in illustrative hand lettering as a personal hobby.
